New Year’s Eve 2010 Heineken Countdown Party

Objective:
For the first time in Hanoi, Heineken held a grand outdoor event at the square of Hanoi Opera House, hosted by well-known international and national DJs & other famous Vietnamese singers - Heineken Countdown Party which stirred up the atmosphere of Hanoi New Year’s Eve.
Teamwork Communications was selected as the PR agency for the whole campaign with the main objectives to create the conversation & engagement of targeted audience (young, cool, high energy…) to the event as a cool and international-culture activity.
 
Idea:
The campaign was divided into 3 phases, starting with pitching pre-event news/articles on high traffic publications, then exciting selective media with the event’s special gifts, and to prolong the impression after the event day via photo articles on highlighted media.
 
Result:
Together with conversations created on over 25 high traffic publications, focusing on top sites like Vnexpress or Dan Tri, Heineken Countdown Party was one of the most anticipated event in Hanoi with thousands of audiences, especially the youth in Hanoi and foreign tourists. It brought an all-new and interesting way of celebrating new year to Hanoi citizens.
